Those who know me know that my favorite book (or compilation of books), above all, is the Bible. I’ve been studying it since I was 5 years old. You’d think that someone who had been engrossed in the Scriptures would have more to show for it, but nonetheless, here we are, right here, right now.

Why? Because when I was younger, I was inconsistent. This lead to immeasurable heartache and pain in my early adult years. It was so bad that even my Dad called me off to the side and told me “Son, if a man is not a man of his word, he is nothing.” Those words hit home and HARD!

Years later, after my Dad helped me pull my head out of my “fourth point of contact”, I would come to understand why consistency was so important…

This “aha moment” came to me through my second favorite book titled “The Master Key System” by Charles F. Haanel. My favorite quote can be found in Chapter 4, parts 11 and 12 which reads…

“If you make use of (an) affirmation, use it continuously, night and morning, and as often during the day as you think of it, and continue to do so until it becomes a part of you; form the habit. Unless you do this, you had better not start at all, because modern psychology tells us that when we start something and do not complete it, or make a resolution and do not keep it, we are forming the habit of failure; absolute, ignominious failure. If you do not intend to do a thing, do not start; if you do start, see it through even if the heavens fall; if you make up your mind to do something, do it; let nothing, no one, interfere; the “I” in you has determined, the thing is settled; the die is cast, there is no longer any argument.”

That, my friends, is a rock solid foundation for consistency!

Now let’s take a look at this word ignominious… ig·no·min·i·ous /ˌiɡnəˈminēəs/ adjective – deserving or causing public disgrace or shame. “the party risked ignominious defeat”. So, when we quit or fail to follow through with what we say we are going to do, not only do we create a pattern of failure, we compile disgrace, shame and even guilt.

Therefore, in life and business, consistency is of vital importance. Any entrepreneur or business owner, worth their salt, understands this and practices consistency in all areas of their life. Consistency breeds trust. Trust is the lifeblood of business!

Show customers inconsistency and what happens? You lose money! People have no desire to work with someone who will not do what they say they are going to do.

Unfortunately this type of behavior runs rampant in the Network Marketing workspace, especially with new reps and distributors. They join a business, get excited at the “prospect” of success, start the building process and then quit 90 days later (or less) because, in most cases, they haven’t made any money.

As a team leader, if you want to grow a GREAT team, you have to be consistent so the team will emulate your behavior. Leading by example demonstrates that you’re willing to do what you teach and practice what you preach. Otherwise the sound resonating from your space is that of nothing more than a clanging gong.

The single GREATEST thing that you can do, for your team, is to lead by example. The second greatest thing you can do is show them how to GET PAID consistently. Most of the “leaders” in this workspace, unfortunately, either don’t understand how to generate new business because they keep moving teams from one deal to another in search of another big payday. It’s one of the biggest scams in MLM or their agenda is to milk their team through the sales of leads, funnels and tools because, again, they have no idea how to recruit and build a team that is consistent.

What’s the solution? From where I sit, if you can’t show people how to make money online (because that’s what they want at the heart of the matter), anything else you’re showing them is a disservice and a demonstration of ignorance.

Here’s what I suggest, do with it as you will…

The reason most people shy away from those who are working to build an MLM based business is because they make it a “BIG DEAL!” What they fail to understand is that making a big deal out of it causes people to put up a wall and object.

The key is to share, in such a way, that will cause people to want what you’ve got. This can be done, quite simply, with my “Simple Side Hustle” script/approach that goes like this…

Me: “Dude… have you noticed how high fishing tackle prices got over the Summer? It’s crazy!”

Them: “Yeah, I made a trip to Bass Pro Shops the other day and walked out feeling like I’d just sold a kidney.”

Me: “I know right? I’m not sure how people are managing right now. I’m glad I started preparing a while back.”

Them: “What did you do to start preparing?”

Me: “A couple of things… I stopped spending and started saving. I also started a little side hustle that didn’t require a bunch of my time but could still help me make some extra coin. So far, so good… it’s working better than I thought it would, actually.”

Them: ” What kind of side hustle?”

Me: “It’s really no big deal. Text me your e-mail and I’ll send you the link to my website and you can take a look for yourself. If it looks like something you want to do, let me know. If not, no worries.

Them: “Cool, thx!”

Why waste your time and theirs with a sales pitch that is, most likely, just going to turn them off? If the overall objective is to get them in front of the information, as soon as possible, why jump through hoops when the shortest distance between two points is a straight line?

I dare to talk yourself out of a sale or sign up using this strategy!!

20 Plus Year Home Business Vet Believes In Keeping It Real!
I always wondered what it would be like when I my had first seven figure year… and it ended up being one of the most lack luster, meaningless accomplishments of my life. It was a life lesson in discovering what I really wanted… and it had nothing to do with money.

I’ve never been one to “fit the mold”. In fact, if there’s a mold, I’m the guy who wants to break it! You won’t hear the popular “self help” jargon in most of what I write or speak because I don’t subscribe to it. I have found that the best two teachers in life are the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) and experience.

For lack of a better way to explain it, I’m a Hebrew Israelite (sort of like a Messianic Jew but not really) who believes in treating people the way I want to be treated and putting God first, and foremost, in everything… and I fail at it, most of the time.

Having said that, when we fall off the Horse we have two options…

… lay on the ground and quit or get back on the Horse (bloody, bruised and beaten) and give it another go!

I get it, not exactly what you’d expect to hear from someone who has been chosen for the cover of TNMM, but I believe in providing value above and beyond the norm and I’d be remiss if I didn’t just shoot straight with you. When I lay down to go to sleep at night, I like to put my head on the pillow knowing that, even though I didn’t get it all right, I did my level best to represent God in the Light that is REQUIRED of someone who bares His name… because I will not use His name in vain.

This is why, when it comes to the topic of Internet marketing, MLM and home based business, most people look at me like I’ve lost my mind… in my approach. I don’t sugar coat the subject and I tell people like it is… keeping it simple for them to understand.

I’ve learned a lot of hard lessons in life and business so I want each and every person I interact with to know the exact score. I’m not afraid to tell anyone that part of what I do is MLM based, because that’s the truth. I’m not scared to tell people that it’s not easy and requires learning because those are the facts. The difference is I choose to walk with people “through” the fire. I invest time in the right people… and I’m picky about who I work with. I may not have the biggest downline, but the people in my downline stay… and my clients stick with me because I give them 100% and I deliver.

In short (and in closing)… be who you say you are and do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. This is the simple key to success in life and business. The rest is just stuff you have to learn how to do. What you know will never prosper you in life… it’s WHO YOU ARE that is matters!

All praise, glory and honor to Yahuah Elohiym (The Lord Our God) !!!
