You hear it talked about in nearly every training delivered by any top rep throughout our profession, that is the concept of DUPLICATION. Sometimes I’ve heard trainers teach that YOU must be duplicatable. While I understand what I think they mean, I feel that many in their audience completely misunderstand the lesson.
“YOU” are not duplicatable. There… I said it.
People, personalities, and individual styles are NOT duplicatable, and to think otherwise will send you down the frustrating road of trial-and-error, with most of it being “error”.
What IS duplicatable is the use of tools and systems.
That is why you should investigate and employ tools that are proven to work for a wide variety of people, in various types of network marketing companies. In fact, a little later in this article I’ll be introducing you to a ground-breaking new power tool called MAX GPT. You are definitely going to want to check it out.
Non-Duplicatable Elements
1. Personality:
Each person brings his or her own unique personality to the table. Trying to replicate someone else’s charisma or communication style is not only ineffective but also inauthentic. Some people are naturally funny. Some are good with facts and details. Others have a quiet determination. Encourage the members of your team to embrace their individuality and leverage their unique strengths.
2. Style:
Just as personalities differ, so do personal styles. This includes how one interacts with clients, handles objections, and builds relationships. Authenticity is key in network marketing; being genuine resonates more with clients than a forced imitation of someone else’s style.
Duplicatable Elements
1. Procedures:
Standardized processes form the backbone of a duplicatable system. These include how to approach prospects, conduct presentations, and follow up with potential clients. By providing clear, step-by-step instructions, you can ensure that everyone on your team is following the same successful methods.
2. Systems:
A well-structured system, such as a training program or a communication protocol, ensures that new members can quickly get up to speed. These systems provide a framework for operations, ensuring that everyone knows what to do and when to do it.
3. Tools:
Utilizing the right tools can significantly enhance duplication. These tools might include your company’s marketing materials, webinars, recorded training sessions. When everyone uses the same tools, consistency is maintained, making it easier to track progress and results.
Staying Authentic
Here are a few tips to help you stay authentic while leveraging duplicatable systems:
1. Embrace Your Strengths:
Identify your unique strengths and find ways to incorporate them into your work. Whether it's your ability to connect with people, your expertise in a particular area, or your creative problem-solving skills, use these strengths to enhance your effectiveness.
2. Be Genuine:
Authenticity builds trust. When you are genuine in your interactions, people are more likely to connect with you and value your honesty. Don’t try to mimic someone else’s way of speaking or acting; instead, let your true self shine through.
3. Continuous Refinement:
Focus on being the best version of yourself. Continuously seek to improve your skills and knowledge, but do so in a way that remains true to who you are. Personal growth is a journey, and staying authentic will make that journey more rewarding.
Conclusion
In network marketing, duplication is essential for scaling success, but it’s important to distinguish between what can be duplicated and what cannot. Processes, tools, and systems are designed to be replicable, ensuring consistency and efficiency across your team. However, the unique personalities and styles of your team members should be celebrated, not cloned. By leveraging duplicatable elements while staying true to yourself, you can build a more authentic and effective network marketing team.
Be the best version of YOU, and encourage your team to do the same.
