Today, I have built a successful team of over 5,000 people and achieved the top rank in my company. I want to share with you the most important lesson I have learned - the power of duplication.

What is Duplication? Duplication is copying success.

It is leveraging what works by getting your team members to emulate it. When you duplicate effectively, your downline duplicates what you did to succeed. Duplication happens through training, coaching and leading by example. You teach your team exactly how to prospect, present, follow up, close and train others. You show them by your own example.

Why is Duplication Important?

In network marketing, leverage is everything. Your time is limited. There are only so many people you can prospect and present to. But if you train 10 people and they each prospect and present to 10 people, you've just leveraged your efforts 10x. When each of those 10 people trains 10 others, you've now leveraged 100x. Duplication compounds your efforts exponentially!

How I Learned the Power of Duplication

When I first started, I tried to do everything myself. I prospected like crazy but signed up very few team members. And those I did sign up achieved little success. After struggling for 6 months, I attended a training by my upline Diamond leader. He emphasized the need to duplicate yourself. I implemented his training system for my team. I hosted weekly calls to train on prospecting and presenting. I recorded videos teaching our products and compensation plan. At first, my team resisted having to learn and apply the training. But after a month, the results spoke for themselves. My team started recruiting and more importantly, training their new teams. My little group started growing like wildfire! I went from under 10 people to over 100 people in just two months. That's when the power of duplication really hit me.

Tips to Duplicate Effectively

Here are 3 tips that helped me successfully duplicate my efforts through my team:

Have a Simple Duplicable System

Break down your process into simple, step-by-step training modules. Document procedures and share scripts. Make it easy for anyone to follow and replicate.

Coach and Mentor Personally

Don't just train them and set them loose! Meet regularly to coach team members 1-on-1. Help them work through challenges until duplicating your system becomes second nature.

Lead from the Front

You can't duplicate something you're not doing yourself. Your team will emulate your actions, not just your words. Lead by example and do the activities you want them doing.

The Power of Compounding Growth

Duplication leads to compounding growth. As each person duplicates what you teach them and passes it to their team, your group grows exponentially. Let's say you train 10 people in month 1. In month 2, those 10 each train 10 others, bringing you to 100. In month 3, each of those 100 trains 10. Now you have 1,000! By month 12, your original 10 could turn into an army of 60,000! That's the insane math of duplication in network marketing.

I'll never forget the day I looked at my fifth generation - people I had never met or trained directly. But because of duplication, they were seeing the same success I was. One member of my third generation, Mary, had built an organization of over 300 people. I was getting paid off the volume from all of them! That's when I truly grasped the power of building depth and creating generational duplication. Work hard now to duplicate wide and deep, and you'll reap the benefits for years.

The Proper Mindset to Make Duplication Possible

Duplication requires embracing a mindset focused on others instead of yourself. You must commit to training, developing and mentoring your team. Of course you need to prospect and enroll people. But pouring your time into just building a wide base will never get you to the top ranks. You need generations under you. Work first on duplicating yourself. Once you have a solid group emulating your system, then focus on expanding your base. But never stop duplicating and building depth.

Go Out and Duplicate!

Duplication is the gasoline that will accelerate your business. With it, your efforts will compound exponentially. Without it, you're doomed to build slowly (or worse, collapse). Today, I have a world class training program duplicated through 5 generations accounting for over half a million of volume per month! You can build an army too. But first, you need to become a model worthy of duplicating.
