If I had a penny for every time that someone thought my approach to network marketing was “bass-ackward,”
I’d have a lot of pennies, figuratively speaking! My approach has been deemed the “slow road” by some and “enlightening” by others. To me, it’s just a better way to create retention.
When reflecting on the story of Dani Johnson, I find inspiration in the proof that PRODUCT attracts “referrals” greater than “team” or “business” ever will. She was selling out of the back of her car when she first started, and she wasn’t selling a business in a box… she was selling products.
I have found that people are very open and honest about their health, especially nowadays, after COVID-19. When it comes to selling health and wellness products, the topic of COVID-19 is a great icebreaker!
You’d be amazed at how many people want to build their immune system to protect themselves from the next “outbreak.”
When you think about one of the things that Amway is most famous for in the world of network marketing, what do you think about? In most cases, it’s a vacuum cleaner, cleaning products, or a vitamin variety pack that is still sought after by even Amway employees to this day. My friend Brian is a perfect example. He’s worked his entire adult life in the warehouse at Amway, and he’ll be the first to tell you how great those vitamins are.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, “If you want people to stick around, get the products in their hand.”
Nothing cultivates successful distributors like someone who has had a breakthrough with a product! When people strike gold, they want to tell everyone!”
It’s a basic human instinct to share good news with people. When you combine that with the fire that ignites within someone when their health improves, or a problem is solved, you have a winning formula for success in network marketing.
I say this only as a matter of fact… I have a 75% retention rate, in my business, for the SOLE REASON that people stay on the product because the products work! Out of all of my referrals since the time I joined, all but ONE are still there because of the products.
Happy customers make the best distributors. So often, people are intrigued about working from home or “being their own boss” until they hear the term MLM or network marketing upfront. The only thing I tell people when I talk to them about what I do is that if they like the product, they can earn a little extra cash by telling others about it… that’s it. Once they are on the product and start asking questions about the business, I’ll begin sharing a bit more about what that’s all about… but I want them focused on the product and sold on it first, even if that takes a few months or more.
Most people DO NOT believe they can be successful in business, and they fail for that reason.
People believe they can feel better when using a product because, quite honestly, the medical establishment has programmed them to believe exactly that!
Those who know me know that I put ZERO stock in the ideology known as personal development, in which people are led to believe that they can find success based on a positive mental attitude and targeted thoughts. I’m not saying attitude isn’t important, don’t get me wrong, but the reality is that someone who feels physically better gets mentally and emotionally better through the use of the products.
Seriously, ask yourself honestly…
“Out of everyone I’ve ever referred into a business, how many of them sit and meditate to the point where their thoughts create a better reality for them?” I mean, come on… really? And the majority wonder why so few are successful in MLM. Perhaps it’s time to stop feeding people garbage and put something in their hands that will actually get them a result and wake and awaken their healthier selves!
You want someone to go great guns in a weight loss organization; for example, get someone on the product who needs to lose weight and watch what happens when they lose 10 lbs. or more… when they haven’t been able to lose weight in months or even years.
Attracting qualified “referrals” is about tripping a switch, and nothing trips a switch in someone better than someone who is feeling better mentally and physically!

20 Plus Year Home Business Vet Believes In Keeping It Real!
I always wondered what it would be like when I my had first seven figure year… and it ended up being one of the most lack luster, meaningless accomplishments of my life. It was a life lesson in discovering what I really wanted… and it had nothing to do with money.
I’ve never been one to “fit the mold”. In fact, if there’s a mold, I’m the guy who wants to break it! You won’t hear the popular “self help” jargon in most of what I write or speak because I don’t subscribe to it. I have found that the best two teachers in life are the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) and experience.
For lack of a better way to explain it, I’m a Hebrew Israelite (sort of like a Messianic Jew but not really) who believes in treating people the way I want to be treated and putting God first, and foremost, in everything… and I fail at it, most of the time.
Having said that, when we fall off the Horse we have two options…
… lay on the ground and quit or get back on the Horse (bloody, bruised and beaten) and give it another go!
I get it, but I believe in providing value above and beyond the norm and I’d be remiss if I didn’t just shoot straight with you. When I lay down to go to sleep at night, I like to put my head on the pillow knowing that, even though I didn’t get it all right, I did my level best to represent God in the Light that is REQUIRED of someone who bares His name… because I will not use His name in vain.
This is why, when it comes to the topic of Internet marketing, MLM and home based business, most people look at me like I’ve lost my mind… in my approach. I don’t sugar coat the subject and I tell people like it is… keeping it simple for them to understand.
I’ve learned a lot of hard lessons in life and business so I want each and every person I interact with to know the exact score. I’m not afraid to tell anyone that part of what I do is MLM based, because that’s the truth. I’m not scared to tell people that it’s not easy and requires learning because those are the facts. The difference is I choose to walk with people “through” the fire. I invest time in the right people… and I’m picky about who I work with. I may not have the biggest downline, but the people in my downline stay… and my clients stick with me because I give them 100% and I deliver.
In short (and in closing)… be who you say you are and do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. This is the simple key to success in life and business. The rest is just stuff you have to learn how to do. What you know will never prosper you in life… it’s WHO YOU ARE that is matters!
