Category: The "WHY"

I am inviting you to stop for a moment to consider how often you ask other questions that begin with 'why?'

  • Why did I do that?
  • Why did that happen?
  • Why did he/she act like that?

These -- and similar 'why' questions -- are asked by human beings endlessly throughout every day.

'Why' is ironic…because the answer to any 'why' question is most often 'I don't know.'

Rather than looking back at 'why' something occurred -- a more empowering question is one that begins with 'How', "When', or 'What'?

For example:

  • What did I learn from this experience?
  • When will be the right time to take action on this idea?
  • How can I accomplish this goal?

These questions utilize the best part of our minds and all of our hearts in unity to move closer to accomplishing our goals.

Now, take a look at the activities you have scheduled this week towards accomplishing your goals and ask yourself 'How,' 'When,' and 'What' questions to ensure that these activities are as empowering and productive as possible.

  • How can I ensure the outcome from this activity will move me closer to the fulfillment of my goal?
  • When do I intend to receive an answer to the request I will be making during this sales call?
  • What do I intend to achieve as a result of making this phone call?
