2022 marks my 28th year on the direct sales and marketing scene.

I started the hard way, grinding door to door, selling Kirby Home Care Systems (vacuum cleaners). Once the Internet started to become "a thing", I immediately saw the opportunity to branch out, switching from the vacuum cleaner to computer sales.

During the direct sales years, there were only a couple of people who I admired. I wanted what they had but I was not inspired to mimic their ethic. Despite the fact that I "thought" I wanted to be like them, the reality was (at that time) that I wasn't even close to being in the right frame of mind to do what was necessary to replicate their success.

Then, when Web 2.0 started to become "a thing", I saw the world of online marketing in a whole new light... but I struggled, hard!

For whatever reason, it took me a long time to get out of direct sales mode and into the right frame of mind for selling via social media. That transitional struggle led me to seek out my first mentor.

Val is the only mentor who actually inspired me. Following him made sense to me, not because of what he had accomplished, but because he was one of the only people who took the time to sit down with me and show me how to get the result I was looking for. He told me what to do, I did it and it worked!

To this day I reflect on his words every time I conduct a training. "Rex," he'd say... "There are three things that everyone wants. They want to be loved, they want to feel needed and they want to be part of something. Remember that and you'll never have another problem making money online again." He was right!

Here's what I learned through all of this...

When you can show someone how to get the results they are looking for, whether it's a solution to a problem, how to fix something, whatever... you immediately become someone they want to follow and listen to. As you demonstrate to them that their input matters, they become endearing. When you show them that their being part of your circle is important to you, they stay!

In most cases, a sale is made long before any money changes hands. People buy because they are sold on you.

Yes, there are people who will "risk" money if they have been persuaded that they will get a result, but, consistent income comes when you become a "sure bet!" The sweetest honey you'll ever share with another human being is your ability and willingness to show them how to get the results they are looking for.

Brian Biro said..."There is no more foundational key to lasting success than being fully present."

And Big Al said..."When prospects tell us their problems, all we have to do is check if they want to solve the problem and the sale is done."

Find the problem and solve it with your full attention, whether you're coaching personally or collectively.

Showing people how to get results keeps them coming back for more!

20 Plus Year Home Business Vet Believes In Keeping It Real!
I always wondered what it would be like when I my had first seven figure year… and it ended up being one of the most lack luster, meaningless accomplishments of my life. It was a life lesson in discovering what I really wanted… and it had nothing to do with money.

I’ve never been one to “fit the mold”. In fact, if there’s a mold, I’m the guy who wants to break it! You won’t hear the popular “self help” jargon in most of what I write or speak because I don’t subscribe to it. I have found that the best two teachers in life are the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) and experience.

For lack of a better way to explain it, I’m a Hebrew Israelite (sort of like a Messianic Jew but not really) who believes in treating people the way I want to be treated and putting God first, and foremost, in everything… and I fail at it, most of the time.

Having said that, when we fall off the Horse we have two options…

… lay on the ground and quit or get back on the Horse (bloody, bruised and beaten) and give it another go!

I get it, but I believe in providing value above and beyond the norm and I’d be remiss if I didn’t just shoot straight with you. When I lay down to go to sleep at night, I like to put my head on the pillow knowing that, even though I didn’t get it all right, I did my level best to represent God in the Light that is REQUIRED of someone who bares His name… because I will not use His name in vain.

This is why, when it comes to the topic of Internet marketing, MLM and home based business, most people look at me like I’ve lost my mind… in my approach. I don’t sugar coat the subject and I tell people like it is… keeping it simple for them to understand.

I’ve learned a lot of hard lessons in life and business so I want each and every person I interact with to know the exact score. I’m not afraid to tell anyone that part of what I do is MLM based, because that’s the truth. I’m not scared to tell people that it’s not easy and requires learning because those are the facts. The difference is I choose to walk with people “through” the fire. I invest time in the right people… and I’m picky about who I work with. I may not have the biggest downline, but the people in my downline stay… and my clients stick with me because I give them 100% and I deliver.

In short (and in closing)… be who you say you are and do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. This is the simple key to success in life and business. The rest is just stuff you have to learn how to do. What you know will never prosper you in life… it’s WHO YOU ARE that is matters!

All praise, glory and honor to Yahuah Elohiym (The Lord Our God) !!!
